Underfloor Heating Installation in Teesdale

The Brief

A renovation in Teesdale called for a heating solution that would give even, comfortable warmth without radiators taking up wall space. The owners wanted underfloor heating that would pair efficiently with their boiler and feel comfortable underfoot across the whole ground floor. We surveyed the floor build-up and designed a wet underfloor system to suit it.

What We Did

Our work included:

• Surveyed and designed the system: Assessed the floor construction, room layout, and heat requirements, then designed the pipe spacing and circuits to deliver even warmth throughout.
• Laid the pipework: Installed and secured the underfloor heating pipework in tidy, evenly spaced circuits, ready for the floor finish.
• Fitted the manifold and controls: Set up the manifold, actuators, and room controls so each zone can be managed independently for comfort and efficiency.
• Pressure tested: Filled and pressure tested every circuit to confirm there were no leaks before the floor was closed up.
• Commissioned and balanced: Balanced the system and set it running at the right flow temperature to work efficiently alongside the existing boiler.
• Handover: Showed the owners how to control each zone and get the best comfort and efficiency from their new system.

The Result

Even, gentle warmth across the whole floor with no cold spots and no radiators on the walls. Because the system runs at a lower water temperature than radiators, it works efficiently with the home's boiler and keeps running costs sensible, exactly the comfortable, efficient result the owners were after.
